Bacon Carbonara (creamy sauce)
Easy to prepare and delicious!
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 1/4 packet Spaghetti or other pasta – (standard pack from supermarkets)
- 2 slices Streaky Bacon
- 1/2 can Whole Button Mushroom
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 small pc Onion
- 1 can Campbell Mushroom Soup
- 1/3 cup Fresh Milk or Low Fat Milk (optional) – (I prefer to add some to make more creamy)
- 1/2 can Evaporated Milk
- 1 can Water – (use the Campbell soup can)
- 4 tsps Olive Oil or Canola or Veg Oil
- One Slice of Cheese
- 1 tsps of Parmesan Cheese
- Some Pepper to taste
Method
Cooking Pasta:
- Follow the instruction on the bag.
- After cook to your preference, drain it and put in another pot. Drizzle it with 2 tsps of Olive oil and mix it up to spread the oil evenly over pasta. This is to prevent the pasta from clumping together.
- Set aside
Cooking Sauce:
- Cut the bacon vertically into thin strips.
- Slices the mushroom into half or 3 slices, chop the garlic & onion
- Heat up the smallest pot and add in the remaining 2 tsps of oil.
- Fry the garlic & onion until fragrant.
- Add in the bacon and fry till nearly cook and follow by mushroom and fry for awhile.
- Add in mushroom soup and stir until no lumpy and add in cheese stir well till cheese melt.
- Add in Evaporated Milk, Milk and Water and stir. (taste it if too salty, add a little bit more of water)
- Let it simmer for about 10mins till boil. (Keep stirring to prevent burn bottom).
- Add in some pepper to taste. Stir well and turn off heat.
Final Step:
- Pour the sauce onto the pasta and mix well.
- Serve onto 2 plates.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top and serve.
