Fry French Beans with Prawns and Onion
Ingredients
- Hand full of French beans (about 30 strands)
- 1 medium size red onion
- 6 medium size prawns de-shelled.
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1/3 teaspoon sugar
- 2 table spoon cooking oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Method
- Wash the French beans, and pluck out both tips. Do not use knife, using your fingers to break the tips, and pull off any fiber if it comes out along. (see picture)
- Cut the pod slanting, to about 5cm length.
- Peel the onions and cut into wedges.
- Heat up the wok, put in the cooking oil, and prawn and onion and fry till fragrance.
- Add the French beans and salt and stir till beans turn darker green in color.
- add water, cover for 10 mins
- remove the cover, add sugar and soy sauce,
- Serve hot
