{"id":294,"date":"2013-08-22T08:05:07","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T00:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/werynice.com\/home\/?p=294"},"modified":"2013-08-22T08:05:07","modified_gmt":"2013-08-22T00:05:07","slug":"hairy-gourd-soup-%e6%af%9b%e7%93%9c%e7%85%b2%e6%b1%a4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/werynice.com\/home\/?p=294","title":{"rendered":"Hairy gourd soup (\u6bdb\u74dc\u7172\u6c64)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>200 grams pork soup bone or pork ribs<\/li>\n<li>1 hairy gourd<\/li>\n<li>2 litre water<\/li>\n<li>8 dried red dates<\/li>\n<li>5 dried oyster \uff08\u869d\u8c49, \u869d\u5e72\uff09<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Using a knife, do a scraping motion to scrape off the skin of the hairy gourd.\u00a0 The more you scrape, the deeper you get, but I like it just slightly below the surface, ie the end product is still light green in colour and not totally white, which is the colour of the flesh of the gourd.<\/li>\n<li>Cut hairy gourd into big chunks, by first cutting across the cross section at about 5 cm interval, and then splitting into halves.<\/li>\n<li>Wash all other ingredients.<\/li>\n<li>This is an optional step to have a clearer soup (less cloudy due to blood from the bones).\u00a0 Put the pork bone or pork ribs in a bowl. Boil some water and pour over the pork bones.\u00a0 Stir a little and leave it for 1 minute.\u00a0 Blood clots will emerge from the bones.
